Since Sanjay Leela Bhansali has started shooting for Padmavati, having Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh in lead roles, he has faced lot of rejection for making a film on Rajput Queen Rani Padmini. Even there are some groups of people who are also trying to stop film from release in their states.
All this situations have made Sanjay Leela Bhansali to come up with a video giving clarification about the speculations around the movie Padmavati.

Similar kind of rejections were faced by Ashutosh Gowarikar from Rajput groups in past while making and releasing Jodhaa Akbar starring Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in title roles.

Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and jointly produced by Bhansali and Viacom 18 Motion Pictures. The film features Deepika Padukone in the title role as Rani Padmini, alongside Ranveer Singh as Alauddin Khilji and Shahid Kapoor as Rawal Ratan Singh, and also have Jim Sarbh and Aditi Rao Hydari.
The film was originally scheduled for release on 17 November 2017, but protests in Rajasthan impacted filming. The movie’s release was pushed to 2018. But with the release of its first poster it is scheduled to release on 1 December 2017.
