Over the years, music composer duo Sachin–Jigar have carved their own space in the Indian music industry with their versatility, innovation, and consistent delivery of memorable melodies. While their journey has been uniquely their own, they often draw inspiration from legends who have shaped the landscape of Indian music. One such towering figure in their lives is A.R. Rahman, whom they revere as their guru.
Speaking about this bond, Sachin–Jigar said, “Our relationship with A.R. Rahman has been much like Ekalavya and Dronacharya. We have never really assisted him, just worked on a couple of songs for him. But his aura is magnificent to bask in. The things he has done for musicians from navigating copyrights to bringing computers to our houses. He made us truly independent.”

For Sachin–Jigar, Rahman’s influence goes far beyond collaboration it is about learning from his pathbreaking vision, his resilience, and his role in empowering an entire generation of musicians. Their acknowledgment of him as a guru reflects the deep respect they carry for a figure who continues to inspire not only them but countless others in the world of music.
