Touted as one of the best dark comedies of the recent times, Blackmail received praises and love from all quarters owing to the intriguing storyline and brilliant performances by the ensemble cast. Rare for a dark comedy, Blackmail opened at a good note reviving the genre.

Opening on a decent note, the quirky comedy collected 2.81 crores on Friday, witnessing growth on Saturday and Sunday, Blackmail collected 3.85 crores and 4.56 crores respectively. Maintaining its hold, Blackmail enjoys a steady run at the box office collecting 1.68 crores on Monday and 1.52 crores on Tuesday, the film stands at the total collection of 14.42 crores. Having already recovered its budget of 18 crores for the cost of production and print and advertising cost with satellite digital music and overseas collection, Blackmail has emerged to be a sleeper hit at the box office.
