Kunal Kapoor has been one of the actors who has always come forward to support our soldiers. Whether it was raising money for our martyrs and their families who suffered in the URI attacks or recently visiting the injured jawans at Paraplegic Rehabilitation Center in Pune and running a social media campaign to support them.
The actor, yet again came forward to support an initiative undertaken by the Indian Army. Sadbhavana, which is a campaign run by the Indian army, approached him to hold a special meet and greet for a group of underprivileged girls and army officials who were in the city as a part of their annual educational and motivational tour.
The initiative, Op Sadbhavana, which helps in weaning people off the banes of insurgency, were conducting a trip for 20 girls from Assam, along with army officials and they wanted to meet the young actor and talk to him about his journey. The actor made time out and spoke to them about his life as an actor and entrepreneur and of the challenges he has faced along the way. Post the interaction; the young girls also got a chance to click selfies and spend time chatting with the actor. At the end of the interaction the army presented him with a medal, as a token of their appreciation.
The Sadbhavna trip will travel to cities like Pune, Mumbai, and Bangalore where underpriveleged students, from areas with insurgency, get a chance to visit different cities and meet influential personalities from varied fields.
Talking about the experience, Kunal Kapoor said, “The army not only protects us, but is also deeply involved in nation building. This is an amazing initiative and I am very fortunate that I had a chance to be a small part of the wonderful work they do”
