Manoj Bajpayee’s first international film – In the Shadow’s has been soaring high at all the national and international festivals as the film is getting massive response from the audiences. Directed by Los Angeles-based filmmaker and winner of Director Guild of America Award, the film has been as competing in some of the significant worldwide film festivals and much recently had two simultaneous first screenings at prestigious festivals – Busan Film Festival and Jio MAMI 2017.
Starring a bunch of extremely talented cast like Manoj Bajpayee, Ranvir Shorey, Neeraj Kabi and Shahana Goswami along with debutant child actor Om Singh, In The Shadow’s created a history as it is had its world premiere at the same hour in the two different time zones. The fine actor Manoj Bajpayee and Director Dipesh Jain who were a part of the Busan Film Festival screening were amazed with the extremely positive response from the international crowd. It is known that the screening went housefull and the entire crowd was emotional after the film was over. That’s not all! Post the screening many came in huge numbers to get autographs and selifes from the supremely talented actor Manoj Bajpyee. Incidentally, the reaction at MAMI film festival was also similar; Ranivr Shorey and Shahana Goswami who were attending the prestigious Indian Festival also got a housefull show with many appreciating the actors for their fine performance.
Last night, the entire team was a part of the 2nd screening which was also attended by the some of the well known personalities from Bollywood. Renowed Director Rakesh Om Prakash who has worked with Manoj in the movie Aks, was seen giving his full support to the entire team and the film. The talented actor was seen praising Manoj for his fine acting skills and also shared that audiences have still not discovered the full talent inside him which still has to unleash to a big extend.
The screening was also attended by a list of talented celebs like Kay Kay Menon, Rahul Bose, Sudhir Mishra, Newton Director Amit Masurkar, Makrand Despande and many more who were in seen appreciating the team with positive feedback post the film was over. The cinema lovers who were a part of the screening also had a similar feeling as they expressed love and acknowledgment to the team also asked some interesting questions during the Q & A session.
Expressing the happiness, Manoj Bajpayee said, “It is a very overwhelming feeling when our industry and audiences around the globe are loving our work. The film is extremely special to all of us and we have worked extremely hard for it. It feels great that these kind of festivals gives films like In the Shadow, the much needed encouragement and brings it to a larger audience to watch. We had an amazing response in the MAMI and Busan and are looking forward to the same in the upcoming festivals where the film is going to be screened.”
Interestingly, In The Shadows is going to be screened in many more reputed Film Festival like Chicago Film Festival, Dubai International Film Festival (Middle East Premiere- Official announcement soon), International Film Festival of Kerala and in-competition for Asia Pacific Screen Awards (APSA)
