Rajkummar Rao is playing the role of government employee in this film, which is about holding fair elections in Chhattisgarh. This dark comedy film falls in the jungles of Chhattisgarh surrounded by Maoists.
To show the real world of the forest, tribals living in the forest have been made part of the film. Giving more details about this, director Amit Masurkar says, “We have shot this movie in the forests of Dalli Rajhara. I and my casting director together took the local people living in the forests to the film. More than 100 people from around 10 villages have worked in this film. “
Explaining about shooting in the Naxalite controlled area, Amit says, “The idea of shooting here at the beginning seemed a bit scary. But later when we came to Reiki before shooting there, then we learnt people here do not give much attention to Bollywood. We told him how we are making a film about elections. It has nothing to do with the Maoists. As long as you do not do any suspicious thing there, you are safe. “
Eros International and Anand L Rai have been written and directed by the new film Amit V Masurkar, produced by Color Yellow Production in collaboration with the visual production. The film will be released in theatres on September 22.
