Since its inception in 2002, the Kolkata based leading production house – Windows Production has grown leaps and bounds and has excelled in various spheres of television and film production. The production house, which has become synonymous with quality content, ruled 2018 with content-rich hit films like ‘Haami’, ‘Manojder Adbhut Bari’ and ‘Rosogolla’; and now Windows is gearing up to achieve a similar victorious feat in 2019 as well.
Spearheaded by filmmakers Nandita Roy and Shiboprasad Mukherjee, Windows Production aims to deliver inspirational content in 2019 and already has an exciting slate of movies scheduled to release this year, which includes the hotly anticipated ‘Mukherjee Da’r Bou’, ‘Konthho’ and ‘Belashuru.’ The award-winning director duo Shiboprasad and Nandita’s directed two films Konttho and Belashuru is going to be a treat to their audience.
The production house has always believed in giving opportunities to budding talents and this year too it is introducing two new talents – Samragnee Banerjee, who is debuting as screenplay writer with ‘Mukherjee Da’r Bou’ and Pritha Chakraborty, who is marking her debut as a director with the same film. ‘Mukherjee Da’r Bou’ is an emotional family drama exploring womanhood and is scheduled to release on Women’s Day, i.e. March 8, 2019.
Following this inspiring film, the production house will release ‘Konttho’ in May. A Nandita Roy-Shiboprosad Mukherjee directorial venture, ‘Konttho’ is already making headlines for the strong subject it deals with. On January 2, 2019, the ‘Konttho’ team along with Education Minister Partha Chatterjee conducted an Anti-Tobacco pledging program in a number of schools inspiring the students to abdicate the usage of tobacco.
Windows Production’s third film this year – ‘Belashuru’, is a film on deep love and family values, made with the same screen family of their big hit ‘Belaseshe’. The film is scheduled to release in October 2019.
With their dedication to delivering quality cinema, Windows Production has always raised the level of expectation with every film. From the looks of it, this year too Windows shall meet all those expectations effectively and transcended the standard definition of good cinema with these three films.
